I really have disappeared, haven't I? I'm SO sorry. I have a new job, I'm in the ending years of my doctorate and I finally published a book. Yes! Diego and Cristina's story was published in Portuguese as "Noturno em Sol Maior"! I think I didn't announce in DA because I have little to no pt-speaking followers, but I think you deserve to know! Fun fact: If you get the arms of the Van Allens and put them next to the arms of the Dejeans (Alexander's and Rose's families respectively), you have all the colours of the asexual flag. It was 100% accidental, but I'm tempted to make people believe it was not. xD :createwithpride:

A rollercoaster of self-discovery

So. I’ve been in DA for a looong time, and I like a lot of people here. So much that I want to share a little of what I went through in the last few months and only now are settling down. It involves getting to a personal low and climbing up and discovering things about myself that were dormant. Who knows, maybe something will ressonate with you and help you in your own journey. I won’t lie, it got a bit longer than I expected, so you can skip to the tl;dr section at the end and judge if you want to read it all or not. — — Part 1 — That darned virus When the pandemic started, all these months ago, I was in a good mood. My PhD was going well (even if I still had a few uncertainties that made me a bit anxious), with me writing a book chapter that would be soon published and a congress in a beautiful city that I didn’t know yet and was excited to see. The school year was starting and I had lots of plans to make my classes better for my students. Those plans were for me, too, because
