Old characters requiem - Eduardo and Daniel

Description

Those two brothers are in that muddy place in which they aren't exactly 'old characters that never saw the light of day', but I talk so much about them that I decided to revisit their origin and earlier years. Those two might be older than other characters in this series, which is another reason to put them in that series.

As I posted somewhere else, I had this habit of recycling charcters (or, more commonly, just their names), which makes for some oddities in Ed and Dan timelines: for instance, I'm sure that they have been twins since ever, but the earlier register I have of Daniel (in 1999) is as Eduardo's best friend. At that time, though, they probably were around my head for two years, so my best guess is that I wrote that little book for school with an 'alternate' version of both boys. Later, in the book I made for school in 2000, I decided to just go with the version that was going on in my head most of the time.

Here are some versions of the guys over the years (it doubles as an art improvement timeline):

About this 'Requiem' series:

My memory is a strange thing. I can't remember what I ate for lunch today, but I can remember things from a time when I was 8 or 9. More specifically, I can remember characters. I suspect that my lack of mental space for remembering people's faces and chores has something to do with the fact that I have a HUGE chunk of my mental HD used for storage of old stories that never saw the light of the day, but I just couldn't let go.

So, I decided to make them a symbolic "burial". I'm putting them on paper (some of them, for the very first time) and writing their stories and whatever I remember from them. These images will be printed later and I'll put them in a file, so my mind can rest assured that they won't be lost to time. Maybe then I can delete some information to make room for my recent memories.

Don't be surprised if you discover that 90% of what I produced in my early creative years were just fanart. Being creative is an acquired skill, even if you don't believe that

" I can't remember what I ate for lunch today"

I remember being asked what I'd had for breakfast once, after a car crash. Now this is supposed to be a test of short term memory, but I'd been on a ferry, and always have the same breakfast when I do!
